Types of Access Control

Physical Access Control

This involves securing physical entry points such as doors, gates, or turnstiles using locks, keys, electronic locks, or barriers.

Card-based Access Control

Users are provided with access cards or key fobs that contain encoded information. These cards are presented to card readers to gain entry.

Biometric Access Control

This method uses unique physiological or behavioral characteristics of individuals for identification, such as fingerprint readers, iris scanners, or facial recognition systems.

Keypad/PIN-based Access Control

Users are granted access by entering a unique personal identification number (PIN) on a keypad or touchscreen
